EveryDay Labs Top 4 Highlights of 2023

And with a blink of an eye, another year has come and gone. In the midst of the celebratory rush of the holiday season, it’s always nice to take some time to reflect on what we’ve learned and accomplished over the course of another action-packed calendar year. Wondering what the team at EveryDay Labs has been up to in 2023? That is, besides improving attendance and family engagement nationwide? Read on for the highlights!

1. Truancy Support Launches

In Fall 2023, several of our California partners added the new, restorative Truancy Support to their attendance improvement strategy.  The platform identifies students who are truant for busy educators, and with just one click, EveryDay Labs personalizes, prints, and mails supportive, family-centered truancy notices that are proven to be 40% more effective than standard truancy notices

We continue to roll out Truancy Support to districts across the country, and are proud to offer a solution that prevents families from becoming entangled in the legal system and brings more students back for critical learning opportunities, all while ensuring busy educators stay in compliance with state laws.

2. Twenty-One New District Partners

This year we were honored to not only continue ongoing partnerships with districts across the country, but to also support 21 new districts as they welcomed more students back into the classroom and built a culture of attendance across their entire school community. These districts include:

  • Berkeley Unified School District, California
  • Breakthrough Public Schools, Ohio
  • Calcasieu Parish Public Schools, Louisiana
  • Central Community School System, Louisiana
  • Compass Community Schools, Tennessee
  • Corona-Norco Unified School District, California
  • DeKalb County School District, Georgia
  • East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, Louisiana
  • Lee County School District, Florida
  • Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, California
  • Niagara Falls City School District, New York
  • Portsmouth Public Schools, Virginia
  • Poughkeepsie City School District, New York
  • San Antonio Independent School District, Texas
  • San Francisco Unified School District, California
  • South Carolina Department of Education, South Carolina
  • Tangipahoa Parish School System, Louisiana
  • Tempe Elementary School District, Arizona
  • West Baton Rouge Schools, Louisiana
  • Wichita Public Schools, Kansas
  • Zachary Community School District, Louisiana

3. Big Impacts in the 22-23 School Year

As we closed out the 22-23 school year in June 2023, we saw exciting data come out of our district partnerships. After implementing the proven effective EveryDay Intervention and leveraging our MTSS platform EveryDay Pro, our district partners saw real progress in student attendance, and in turn, student outcomes. We’re proud to highlight these big wins for students, families, and educators alike.

A note about the impact: EveryDay Intervention has been rigorously tested through multiple randomized controlled trials, or RCTs. We identify the impact of EveryDay Intervention within our partner districts by analyzing the change in student attendance behavior prior to and after receiving a Mail and Text Nudge, i.e. they received the Intervention.

4. EveryDay Pro Showered with Praise

While supporting educators, families, and students as they achieve their full potential remains our number one priority, it is always nice when our solutions get some extra recognition. This year, our MTSS attendance platform EveryDay Pro won the Tech & Learning Award of Excellence: Best of 2022 Primary Education award, as well as the Bronze Stevie Award in the 2023 American Business Awards. Additionally, Pro was named a SIIA CODiE Award Finalist in the Best Emerging Education Technology Solution for Administration category as well as an EdTech Cool Tool Award Finalist in the New Product/Service category!  We were honored to be recognized alongside so many other stellar solutions that aim to make the work of education just a tiny bit easier and move the needle for better student outcomes across the country.

Getting students on track starts with attendance. We can help.
