Rosa is a first-generation Chicana who was the first in her family to go to college. Graduated from CSU Hayward-East Bay with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and 3 minors - Spanish , Sociology and Latin-Amerian Studies. Rosa has worked in a Early Childhood Center as a Family Advocate and Assistant Parent Involvement Coordinator. She has also worked as a Parent Liason for ACOE schools with teen mothers and incarcerated youth. She is a mother of 4 wonderful kids—who loves to travel, dance, and enjoys eating ice cream. Always a strong advocate for a children's right to have a good quality education.
